Foxy Friday

This is what happens when I try and pack with Foxy around.

Oh no you are not going to go to NYC next week with out me.

You will have to take me with you if I lay on your clothes

How about if I sit on your dress you just ironed?  

Now you know why it take me so long to pack. 

Chalk drawings

Sunday we spent the afternoon in Santa Barbara at the I Modaonnari festival.  Which is at the Santa Barbara Mission. These are just a few photos from the day, there were so many good drawings it was hard to pick our favorites.

The day came and went almost like a normal day...

The day started with a big bang...the shuttle landed at Edwards Air Force base due to bad weather in Florida.  The shuttle entering the atmosphere made a huge bang that shook the house. Just after the scroll on the bottom of the TV said we would experience a loud bang.

The crazy thing I did was a cartwheel in the backyard...however Joe said it almost was a back-flip.  I don't suggest doing a cartwheel on your 40th unless you want a shoulder and wrist pains. 

Mozza 4 lunch

Birthday Lunch at Mozza Pizzeria. I could only get a reservation on Saturday at 2:30 so I took it. It was wonderful no wonder it is so hard to get a reservation.

The silver ware was in an envolpe on the table. 

Fun Facts that came with our lunch.  "walking in the rain" is good luck -that is why there are so many Italians in Brussels.

My outlets are now baby proof or Foxy proof.  For some reason she had decided to "lick" the outlets.  She has never done this before but in this house every time I turn around she is licking them.   

Mp3 experiment

There is a group of people in NYC that do crazy stunts or pranks around the city from time to time. My favorite is "no pants day" where they ride the subway with no pants on. Can you imagine you are a tourist in NYC on your first visit and first subway ride then you see a bunch of people with out pants on in the subway. I have a link to there web site below if you want to see all the pranks they have done.

Any way if you are in NYC this weekend (Cole & Parker) and want to be apart of this experiment check the instructions below. Anne and Jilaine you lucked out that were are going later or else we would do this.  

I can't wait to see what they do this time!

How fun are these trees.  I'm not sure what they are but I like them and glad it is growing by our house. 

Brie Burgers

The other day I made burger with brie cheese inside. It was really simple I just made 4 thin (1/4 inch thick) patties then put brie in the middle of one patty (the rind was removed from the brie) put another patty on top and pinched the edges together. That was it- told you it was simple.

He actually bought Praying Mantids eggs!

So I felt my second earthquake tonight.  The pictures were shaking. There was one the week Jilaine was here but didn't feel it. 

Foxy Friday

Saturday when we were in Santa Monica we visited 3 Dog Bakery. Foxy enjoyed her treats and was in love with this tan dog.

There are actually 3 dogs on the counter-one is hiding behind the white dog you can hardly see his head and ears. I can't believe they stay on the counter.   
Her mom shaved her fur like a Mohawk.  How cute is she.  They think she is part Maltese and part chich. 

3rd St. Promenade

Saturday we visited the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica.  It is basically a 4 block long mall that cars are not allowed on.  


Zara was one of my favorite stores in Brussels-glad to see it is here too-maybe next time I will get to visit it.

We had our first Fat Burger - however IN-N-OUT burger is much better

This weekend my friend Kay and her entourage came to Santa Monica for a visit. We decided to join them for Saturday night.

A four legged sunflower seed bandit. Look at the following photos and keep an eye out for him. Joe kept looking for the perfect squirrel proof feeder.  Like I really wanted a squirrel proof feeder I love him in our yard.  Joe on the other had is not happy about him.
