The day started with a big bang...the shuttle landed at Edwards Air Force base due to bad weather in Florida. The shuttle entering the atmosphere made a huge bang that shook the house. Just after the scroll on the bottom of the TV said we would experience a loud bang.

Joe's choice of candles - we didn't set the fire alarm off if you are wondering.
The crazy thing I did was a cartwheel in the backyard...however Joe said it almost was a back-flip. I don't suggest doing a cartwheel on your 40th unless you want a shoulder and wrist pains.

birthday. I always miss not celebrating it with you, but it's not possible with the miles between us. Thanks to Joe for taking over for me. Mom
