I'm not sure why the posts are not posting automatically-I'm manually having to do them. Sorry for anyone that is checking them early in the morning and not seeing them.

I'm a new visitor to your blog and was wondering if (and how much) you miss Belgium. What do you miss the most? How does it compare to LA? I lived in LA before (and am currently on the East Coast and making plans to move to Belgium). Just want to get some opinions - and Im sure once I've read this and your other blog, I'll have some great insights. Thanks
Hi Thank you for visiting my blog. I will give you the low down on Friday, for some reason I have a social life this week and want to make sure I have the time to give you all the info not just a quick recap.
I miss Belgium very much, just because it is a differnt it is hard to explain. I have tried many times to explain to my family and friends but I just can not. That being said I have a couple friends that did not like Belgium and had a very hard time getting adjusted. My thinking is they didn't jump in and expected it to be like the us. You really need an open mind and be able to laugh daily at the things that happen. By the time I left I could take the bus run lots of errans and jump back on the bus before I had to use another punch on my metro pass. That was a huge accomplishment. In the beginnig it would take hours. Really not kidding. Compared to LA-it is as differnt as you can get. I didn't drive for 3 years now I'm buzzing around on 5 lane highways with maniacs. They do drive bad in Belgium too but it is a different way you have to give priority to the person on the right no matter what.
Brussels is a small very international city with it being the capital of Europe and NATO being headquarted there.
There is also a american womens club I belonged to...it is so so lot of women love it.
hope this helps you and let me know if you have any question or leave my your email address. Sorry for the spelling mistakes.
Bon Chance! Jill

I will send you my email once I'm closer to my goal and have specific questions - but thanks for your post, I really appreciate it. You're having a remarkably different LA experience than I did...The Ivy? Oooh La la...looking forward to more fun posts.
We (my late husband and I) moved to California in December 2008 from Brussels, Belgium. Orginally we are from Minnesota.
I have 7 year old papillion-chihuahua mix named Foxy and in January I add a new puppy mill rescue that is 5 years old named Ana. She has taken up alot of my time.
My Husband was killed in July 2009 now this is the story of what is happening day to day as a young widow trying to find fun and friends again.
