- We (my late husband and I) moved to California in December 2008 from Brussels, Belgium. Orginally we are from Minnesota. I have 7 year old papillion-chihuahua mix named Foxy and in January I add a new puppy mill rescue that is 5 years old named Ana. She has taken up alot of my time. My Husband was killed in July 2009 now this is the story of what is happening day to day as a young widow trying to find fun and friends again.

Jill, you are right this is graphic and very upsetting. I cannot help but feel that there were people around that driver that morning who must have known all about his past offenses and who nevertheless remained silent when they saw him get into his vehicle. In my mind they too are responsible because they didn't pick up their phone to call the highway patrol and warn them about his dangerous state. Bar owners are held responsible for their patrons' behavior and so should everyone else who witnesses drunks getting behind the wheel.
I know you plan on being in court this week, and I'll be thinking of you, wishing you strength during this difficult time.x
