The Ivy

Sorry this didn't automatically post again I had to manually post this.

Last Thursday I went with the Ladies to the Ivy for a late b-day celebration. It was quiet a day, after lunch we just saw this helicopter hovering not far away and we all knew something was strange about it. Not to mention there was only 1 paparazzi walking on the other side of the street we saw when we were shopping. He didn't seam interested in us at all.  After we got home we found out about Micheal Jackson died.  We drove only blocks (literally) away from UCLA medical center and his parents house on the way home.

However our lunch was very successful in the celebrity sighting area. John Stamos was sat at the table right next to us with some other people from the grammy foundation.

The Ivy

Carolyn (blk & white sweater), Joan (blue & blk dress), Maggie(red blazer) and me (yes I finally wore my dress I bought last year for my b-day)

spinach ravioli with butter and sage

When Carolyn went to the bathroom I had a clear shot of John-however he turn just as I shot it. Don't worry I had the camera on my lap and was very discreet.  He was very pleasant when we walked by.  Said "hello how are you" to Carolyn, and gave Joan a huge smile. He is much more handsome in person than on t.v.

Foxy Friday

This is what happens at our house when Joe comes back from a business trip.

She jumped so high I cut her ears off in the photo when she saw her Dad.

Smells like Paris

What you went to Paris with out me and no presents

Good-bye

I'm in shock that these two people died today. We saw the helicopters in Beverly Hills today but didn't know what was going on till just now. They will be sadly missed.

My favorite Angel not just because her name was Jill

YES!

I took this photo when we were in NYC, for those of you who don't know this is where Joe proposed to me-except it was December and we were ice skating.
For more of my trip to NYC the blogs are farther down on my blog if you missed them.

Just Kidding

I have wanted a tattoo for a while and this urge is getting stronger now that I live in LA. I just can't decide what I want.

Anyway I added 2 fake tattoos on Saturday before I went to pick up Joe. He didn't notice my leg till we got home and was like "what is that on your leg!"  A fake tattoo because I have a real one on my back. It took him a couple minutes of staring and touching it to decided that It wasn't real. But don't you think they look good on me and I should get a real one.

Dreaming

I dreamed the other Sunday morning that Joe was calling from Paris, France and wanted to know how to take the metro to the Montmarte area.

As I was climbing out of bed digging for my Paris street and metro map,  I realized this wasn't a dream it was a nightmare my husband was really in Paris with out me!

He ate yummy pain au chocolate every morning for breakfast and if that wasn't enough he had dinners in and around the Eiffel Tower...yes I'm very jealous yes I admit it, considering I was suppose to go too.

The reason I didn't go was no sitter for Miss Foxy by the time I need to book my ticket. My parents offered to watch her but Joe thought it was to crazy for Foxy to fly with us to MSP then my mom and dad to pick her up. Can you believe that nobody wanted to watch my little dog so I could go to Paris or did they just not want me to go to Paris????

The Luggage carts in LAX are very Welcoming

The man got in my way just as I took this picturce.

My Husband from Paris
This is only the second time I have met him at the airport in all the zillions of times he has traveled. The other on was in Brussels when Foxy and I took the train out to see him.

U-Pick

Sunday I dragged Joe to pick cherries.  There is a big orchard about 30 minutes away from our house.  I know what you thinking me picking stuff...when I lived at home I always had to pick crab apples that made me very crabby (now the tree is cut down), one Christmas we went and cut our own Christmas tree (not fun and froze every part of my body), and lets not forget blueberry picking with wood ticks, bears and other creatures. It also takes so long to get enough for a pie or pancakes.

Cherry picking was actually fun and very quick, there was only one issue they had signs up about snakes.   Here are some photos from our day.

"The Rules"
Attention!
Should I eat this one now or later?
Joe with a bucket of bings and no bling bling.

Bing Cherry

Rainer Cherry - very sweet and my favorite

Lots, and lots of cherries.

We drove by this house with two Llama's in their yard.  There is a brown one on their porch.  I think he wants to go in and watch TV or get treats.
The scenery in the area.

Graduation

After my NYC trip I headed to Minneapolis where my parent picked me up and we drove to Wisconsin for my nephew's high school graduation.

The graduate just after getting his diploma

Me and my other nephew- a couple more year and then he graduates and we do it all over again.

After the ceremony-again looking at different camera-the photo below will explain why.

The Paparazzi

For the graduation party we got driven up the long hilly drive way in a 4-wheeler.  My Stuart Weitzman shoes have never been on a 4-wheeler before hopefully that was there last time.  Did I mention it was really cold and raining like crazy when we were riding in this thing.

On the way back to Minneapolis we stopped in Menomonie Wi aka Stout-where I went to college and had yummy cheese curds.

The Buck...where I and many of you lost many brain cells.

New York, New York photos part 2

Here are some more photos from NYC!

Yummy Cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery, mine was chocolate with fluffy frosting just like what I wanted for my  birthday cake but we couldn't find the frosting -I wanted to get lots more but nobody else thought it was a good idea. I believe I ate it in 2 bites.  (my workouts would have really gone out the window)

Us in the hotel lobby after dinner

The 21 Club

Time Square before we went to the theater - I thought we might be late cause we wanted to try sitting in every different block on the way to the play ohh and Jilaine was taking a hundred photos.

I loved 9 to 5!  I'm not sure why it got bad reviews.

This man took a ton of photos of us sitting in Time Square after the play so I took one of him.

People sitting in the street-it actually is really fun and I could have sat there all night. This is  around 10:30 - 11:00 at night it was like a big party.

Orange squishy things that took alot of balancing to sit on. With a strange lady look at us in the back ground.

It looked like so much fun when seats finally opened up we thought we would try sitting in the street. (it is now about 11:30 and the area is stilled packed)

New York, New York

Today and tomorrow I will try and pack my whole NYC trip in with photo of what fun we had.

Ground Zero still like I first saw it a couple month after it happened.

Stock Exchange
The 3 of us on top of the Rockefeller Center building (they just opened to top a couple years ago)
Us again a little farther away

The New Yankee Stadium

Look at how plush and padded these seats are.

Go Yankee's!!

Very nice new field and stadium - glad we got to see it, even if we were the only girls sitting in our section.  It was full of LOUD male chauvinist pigs that were wondering why there were girls in the section or I guess out of the kitchen.
