Tragedy

I will be blogging on and off but this blog may take a different twist-blogging on what to do when your husband dies. He passed away on Saturday afternoon.  I love you Honey!

From the local paper:
One local bicyclist was killed and two more injured Saturday when they were hit by an alleged drunken driver(at 11:30 am)  on Bouquet Canyon Road.

Joe will always be in our hearts and in our memories of Brussels. He was warm, funny, and clearly in love with you and with life. We miss him already.

I can't tell you how shocked I am to open up your blog this morning and see this news! I'm a new reader to your blog (you responded to my questions about how your life in CA compares to life in Brussels) and I am so very sorry for your loss! You are extremely generous to include us (your readers) in this difficult time. I don't know what else I can say.
I will be thinking of you in this difficult time and reflecting about how life is unceasingly full of surprises. My prayers to you and your family.

I'm so sorry Jill to read about your loss. This is heartbreaking. I'm glad your family was able to be there with you. I remember you so clearly and you were always such a sweetheart; you don't deserve to have this happen. Nobody deserves this. I'll be thinking of you and hoping that the courts convict the monster who did this. Take Care & be strong. xo ~ Kristin (McKibbage) Gross
