day 62

They named one of the conference rooms at Western Filter "The Joe Novotny" room.  I thought that it need a photo for the vistors that had no idea who he was, so I had a 5x7 print made and put it in a nice wood frame.  It now is hanging in the room for everyone to see.

Dear Jill,
I spoke with a very nice woman at ING this am. She specializes in inheritance rules which are strict and complicated in Belgium but she had the following suggestions:
1.You need to write directly to the agency where you and Joe had your bank account since they are the ones who have the authority to close the account.

2. Y
she believes you will need:
** a copy of the death certificate as well as copies of yours and Joe's passport.

** Proof of address in the US

** the address of your bank in the US

** an address where mail can be sent to you if you are in transit

** a document which proves you are the sole heiress of Joe's estate.

I would also suggest that you get in contact with the Belgian consulate in L.A. if you need any clarifications about Belgian laws.

Finally, this is where you can reach the young woman I spoke to:
Joelle.Lallemant@ing.be
She speaks English.

Letme know if you need any clarification or further help.
